Autumn Equinox (Mabon) π
Release • Reflection • Preparation
The Autumn Equinox is a moment of perfect balance—light and dark stand as equals, before the days tip into growing night. At Mabon, we honor this turning of the Wheel with gratitude, reflection, and intention.
The fields have given their gifts, and we gather not only the fruits of the Earth, but the lessons of the year so far. It is a time to pause and give thanks—for harvests both literal and spiritual.
Yet Mabon is also a season of release. As the trees shed their leaves, we too are invited to let go of what no longer serves us: old habits, stale energies, heavy burdens. In doing so, we make space for rest, healing, and the quiet renewal that winter will bring.
✨ Ways to Celebrate:
• Light candles or a fire to honor the balance of dark and light.
• Prepare a meal with seasonal fruits, grains, and vegetables—sharing with loved ones or offering to Spirit.
• Journal or meditate on what you are ready to release and what you wish to carry into the darker months.
• Decorate your altar with apples, acorns, pinecones, and autumn leaves.
Mabon is both a thanksgiving and a farewell—a sacred pause between fullness and stillness. May we walk with grace into the darker half of the year, carrying gratitude in our hearts and wisdom in our hands.
